20150104_130041I never mentioned that I was a HUGE sports fan, especially of football and baseball. When I was young I always managed to find a way to get into one of the local neighborhood softball games with the “guys”. When I got to high school and college I tried out for cheerleading and am including two little pictures of me in uniform taken from my yearbooks.

20150104_130519My college years were really the ones I loved best being a cheerleader. I’m a small person so the squad took advantage of me doing gymnastics and also being at the top of the “pyramid” and more or less just tossing me around. But I LOVED it!

20150106_164057-1With the Super Bowl just around the corner, this notecard particularly reminded me of how lucky I was to attend Super Bowl XLII in Arizona back in 2008 when my Patriots played the Giants and sadly lost in the last minute of the game, but what a thrill to be there!Once again I find my New England Patriots with a chance to go to the Super Bowl but having first to beat the Ravens on Saturday and who knows who else after that!!

Let me know what your Super Bowl choices are.

I won’t be offended! Promise.

I am not too much into football, but l do like the Patriots. Hopefully they will win the Superbowl this year. I too am into sports. I love baseball. And with you being that small, it must have been funny seeing you cheerleadering. I guess size does not matter, when your into sports, it’s having fun that counts. And it looks like you were having alot of fun.

I had loads of fun cheering! I even coached the cheerleading team at Newton North the first year I taught.
Fact is I love baseball even more and was brought up at Fenway Park by my Dad. But you’re right, Dana,
whatever you chose to do, you’ve got to have fun! Thanks for writing. Maria
